I have always been artsy as long as I can remember. My Mother has pictures I drew at a very young age...I probably shouldn't tell that they were of queens smoking cigarettes? I can remember at 10 years old turning my parents screened in porch into an art gallery and trying to sell my decoupage paperweights and paintings to the neighbors. I graduated from KU (Rock Chalk Jayhawks) with a B.S. in Journalism and Art. I feel as if I have finally found my calling. This art form mixes all my loves. Re-purposing my many crazy collections of all things old, metal work, my obsession with jewelry and my smart-Alec personality all in one! I have been creating different forms of art all my life and they have culminated into this awesome form of art jewelry that I have been making since 2000. My 3 kids and 2 dogs all live in small town America. Needless to say, I have a lot of time to create my life's passion. Not to mention artistic a.d.d.
